PPKUKM Agency Continues to Expand MSME Network Globally

Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency continues to show its commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs.

"...Jakarta's MSMEs have great potential to penetrate global markets with innovative halal products,"

This time, Jakpreneurs (Jakarta-assisted entrepreneurs or MSMEs) are representing Indonesia at the Malaysia-International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) event, held at Shangri-La Hotel, Malaysia, from September 17 to 20, 2025.

Recognised as the world's largest halal exhibition, MIHAS serves as a strategic platform for Jakarta to showcase top-quality products that also bring inspiring narrative and local cultural richness.

At the Indonesia Pavilion, Jakpreneurs explored international market opportunities and expanded their business networks. A range of inspiring Jakarta-based brands took part in the event, representing sectors such as food and beverage, fashion, and personal care.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, stated that participating in MIHAS 2025 is a strategic step to widen global market access for Jakarta's MSMEs.

According to her, MIHAS 2025 is more than just a trade exhibition — it's a gateway for Jakarta MSMEs to connect directly with international buyers and investors.

"We are confident that our flagship products, from fashion and culinary to handicrafts, can compete and meet the standards of the global halal market," she expressed, Friday (9/19).

According to her, this event proves Jakarta's local products are capable of competing on the international stage, and the city government remains fully committed to supporting and facilitating every step taken by MSMEs in achieving global success.

"Their presence shows that Jakarta's MSMEs have great potential to penetrate global markets with innovative halal products," she emphasized.

She noted that Jakarta's participation in MIHAS 2025 is also part of the Jakarta Provincial Government's broader efforts to strengthen economic diplomacy and promote sustainable economic growth.

"This participation is expected to open doors for collaboration, expand market reach, and ultimately improve the welfare of micro and small business players in Jakarta," she said.
